Cuisine: Bar/Pub, English

Sid’s offers the kind of down-to-earth everyone- knows -everyone friendliness of a typical British neighbourhood pub. No hype, just good hearty food and drinks served in a welcoming atmosphere. The management also strongly believes in being involved in community projects and events. There are four outlets at time of writing, all done up in similar style, with half-timbered walls, old style furniture and lots of interesting decorations on the walls. The restaurant has both inside and outside seating areas and free wifi service. Savour such British pub delicacies as Green Pea & Ham Soup, Ploughman’s Lunch, Chicken Tikka Masala, and A Scrum of Bangers (sausages). Other signature dishes are the Ben Nevis Burger and Pigs in Blankets. A full Sunday Roast is available on Sundays from lunchtime onwards.

Good hang out

Nice cozy place to chill, easy location (if you avoid weekends) and friendly service. When I eat nearby I like to walk over for a drink. The times I ate here the burgers and pie were good Parking tip: there's spots around the back if you don't mind walking a bit

Double Decker!

This is the very first Sid's Pub, where it all started. It's also the busiest, with a good mix of locals and expats. The big events, such as the recent Arthur's Day celebration, are often held here. Basically there's always something on, especially if Frank or Sid happen to be around. This outlet is famous for its ginormous Ben Nevis Burger which comes with 2 Patties (Pork, Beef or Chicken); add on Bacon, Ham, Egg, Cheese, Lettuce, and Tomato. The Pork patties would be no doubt my choice of protein, as they are juicy and well-seasoned. With the sexy runny egg yolk and melted cheese, this would be an unforgettable meal. Don't forget to soak the chips in plenty of malt vinegar. Yum. Then there's the obligatory Fudge Brownie to finish it all off with. Service is definitely friendly. Ask for Jonathan or Kabi and they'll take care of you. This is a favourite amongst the girls. Err. For some reason.

Love at first sight

This is the very first Sid's Pub I visited when I visited KL couple of years ago as a tourist. It's their biggest outlet in terms of size. This boozer is a big fooball supporters hangout whenever there's a game on. And if you are interested in Swing Dance, you have the opportunity to join the KL Swing Dance here every Tuesday night. I love the Chicken Wings, which go nicely with a pint. And surprisingly, they serve a pretty good Papaya Citrus Salad, for a pub with mainly blokey meals. I...

I also enjoy the Saucy Politician Beef (what a name), the gravy is a little spicy, full of bovine flavour, perfect to mop up with slices of bread. Parking is usually not a problem because it's free to park within the complex. Just make sure you drink responsibly.

The King of Pubs

This is probably the cosiest pub out of their 4 outlets. Whenever we feel like a few quiet drinks, this is where we'd go. I would usually order the Spring Chicken here, which comes with lumpy mash and sauteed vegetables. It's an impressive looking dish and maybe a little intimidating. But I can always finish the whole chicken. The little bird, roasted to perfection, is soaked in thick aromatic gravy spiked with plenty of rosemary, which works perfectly with the mash. Onlookers might even gawk at the surgical precision while I work on the bird. The drinks here are quite reasonably priced, in fact, probably the most reasonable around KL. For example: A pint of Tiger is RM15 during Happy Hours, which starts from 10.30am to 8pm. Very Happy indeed. And parking is never a problem here as there's a pretty big car park outside. Another factor which is important, especially for us ladies, the bathrooms here are pristine. It's no wonder this particular pub has won The Telegraph's Best British Pub In The World Outside Britain (2010-2011).

Neighbourhood pub

This is one of the most interesting pub in KL. It is located in the quiet neighbourhood of Bukit Tunku. I don't see any commercial value in Kenny Hills and only those who stays there visit this pub.

Honest Pub Food

Whenever we visit Sid's Pubs, it's guaranteed that we will have plenty of laughters and hours of fun. Thanks to the friendly staff, cheerful atmosphere and straight up hearty pub food they have to offer. Of course, reasonably priced drinks too but let's just talk about the food for now. One of my favourite things to order is the blue cheese mushrooms. Swimming in abundance of creamy sauce with the seductive aroma, while blue cheese does not overpower. It's really addictive! Best mop up with toasted bread provided. One particularly night, we had 3 serves amongst the 4 of us. Crazy? I think not. Of course, one does not leave Sid's without trying a pork burger (unless you can't eat pork, then they have beef, chicken and even a vegetarian option). I love adding egg and cheese. Nothing better than overflowing egg yolk, with the melted gooey cheese. You can also add the bacon but I think that would be a bit of an overkill for me. The pork patty is juicy and well seasoned. And the buns are fluffy and a perfect match for the savoury fillings. Always hits the spot.

Vibrant Pub

Sid's Pub is a cosy little pub which has a small alfresco seatings as well as indoor seatings When we reached there before 8pm, the pub was almost fully seated. The chips that came with the food was very crispy and long ! And they also provide vinegar for the chips which is very british However I find my steak quite tough and you really need a knife to cut through the meat ( I thought burger is a finger food which should be eaten with hands ! ). My friend have no problem with his pork meat but he did mentioned that it was bit dry and not as juicy We did make a pit stop to the toilet which we find is quite clean and dry. A plus point By 8pm, the pub is fully occupied and the noise from the crowd is getting louder & boisterous I would recommend going to the pub to have a drink and watch the live football matches there as it has great atmosphere

Kinda pricey

This used to be our hangout spot (for me and my friends) way back when there weren't that many bars and pubs in TTDI. Since I've stopped drinking (yea, grew out of it and everything, LOL), I've taken to ordering food whenever I do come here... honestly, very limited variety on the menu, and everything is expensive. Tried the pasta and burgers a couple of times--pretty ok, but I can get better pasta and burgers elsewhere. I haven't been to Sid's in a while... probably because there are other more interesting places to hangout nearby.

It's feel good place.

Came here for the first time and felt good about it. Love their Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream on top. The brownie was really soft and creamy. Top it off with a delicious vanilla ice cream to compliment the taste of the chocolate can really make your heart goes awwww!.. Walked in the venue and I felt really welcomed. Everybody was so friendly and treated everyone like friends! Though you're a first-timer. As the tagline suggests, it is a best loved neighbourhood pub....
