Authentic Nasi Padang
Cuisine: Indonesian

A restaurant franchise from Indonesia, Sari Ratu specialises in Nasi Padang, the cuisine of the Minangkabau people of Sumatra. Sari Ratu presents Minangkabau food in a clean and comfortable setting where the focus is on quality, authenticity, hygiene and good service. The selection of dishes is appetisingly displayed in a clean, well-lit glass case, and a meal here consists of rice accompanied by the diner’s choice of dishes. Besides the more familiar Rendang and Ayam Goring, there’s Ikan Nila Goring (fried tilapia), Ayam Pop (chicken steamed, then fried) and GulaiTunjang (curried beef tendon). For dessert try Es Teler, an Indonesian version of ABC.

Gulai Tunjang.. YUMMY!

Went there and ordered a bunch of meals like Ayam Penyet, Gulai Tunjang (recommended by the their friendly crew), vegetables and drinks. I must say, their Gulai Tunjang is soooo good.. I even finished the whole bowl of it including the gravy! hahaha Though, it is quite pricey but worth it. The staffs are friendly and helpful, too.

Terbaik dari Padang

One of my favourite Padang restaurants. There are a few imitators out there, but none can beat their authentic taste. I love the Gulai Tunjang, Special Fried Chicken, the Flying Fish, and the Tauhu Telur. The Es Teller is the perfect dessert to complement the meals. I order it every single time I visit this place. Just a word of caution though - if you're like me, you'll probably need to order more than a bowl of rice (or two!). The price is reasonable for the quality that you get.

VIP restaurant

This place serves good Indonesian food. They even serve Teh Botol here. The deep fried chicken is yummy. Price is very down-to-earth. Place is air-conditioned, which is a big plus for me. Parking is not too difficult to come by. Easy drop-off. From the few times I visited, I sighted some recognisable corporate faces and politicians in their casual tshirt eating alone, or with family.
