I would not put up a fight when people suggest to go to La Bodega. The lamb is very good, that is about the only thing I order with my wine at BSC. They also serve organic rootbeer, ginger ale, lemonade - I am guilty of enjoying imported goods.
Sometimes when you want a roastbeef sandwich, they might just deliver. I am always on the lookout to find good places for roastbeef sandwiches with a watercress salad and good quality horseradish. The Telawi deli is where I go for that. So far I have only been disappointed once, they are about 70% consistent, which is a high rating for Malaysian F&Bs.
One irrelevant fact, their outlet at Pavilion is sitting on the land where my highschool canteen used to be! My encounters going there has been nostalgic for someone who is an ex-BBGS.
So long as it is in a non-smoking area, I generally enjoy my time with this establishment. I loved the upstairs lounge in Telawi but I have grown intolerant to cigarette stench.
Most of their outlet locations have easy drop-offs, although not always easy to find parking space (especially their original joint in Telawi).
Their staff are usually a friendly lot, whether or not you want to speak to them. That's a good thing.
