Dunk on the chocolate cakes

This is one of my favourite places for cakes. For b-days, I recommend Red Velvet. Death by chocolate is also good but like the name implies it's quite heavy. The cakes are moist and fresh, and most importantly not too sweet. The cupcakes are all right too if you're into those A full cake starts from 60 bux and up, so it's special occasions only in my book I stopped by a couple times since this outlet opened at Hock Choon. The lady boss tossed in some freebies for me once near closing time. Try your luck and see if you can get some too!

A Slice of Heaven

In case you didn't know, Just Heavenly is run by the same owners of A Slice of Heaven. From what I understand, the difference is that Just Heavenly has a gourmet menu, apart from the usual cakes. Not too sure if their sister outlets also have gourmet food. Anyway, I didn't have cakes on my visit. So I'll review their food instead. I had a Chunky Beef Pie. Not too sure if their sister outlets also have gourmet food. Anyway, I didn't have cakes on my visit. So I'll review their food instead. I had a Chunky Beef Pie. It's the pie-in-a-cup with the crust baked on top a-la-Dôme. It was good, but the beef wasn't chunky enough for me. My partner had a Spicy Shepherd's Pie. This was actually quite spicy and tastes lovely, if you're into Shepherd's Pies. Can't remember the name of the dish my sister-in-law ordered. Something with chicken & avocado on pita bread. Pretty good and healthy as well. The star dish was definitely their Mushroom Soup, which was part of their special christmas menu. I recommend that they add this to their permanent menu. It's really one of the best mushroom soup's I've had in a while. Price-wise, I'd say it's on par with other F&B outlets of BSC (read: not cheap, but reasonable) The place itself is simple and clean. Service is top-notch. Everyone was always smiling. Looks like they're really happy to be working in Heaven ;)

Heaven Chocolate Taste

My friend went there and bought a cake for her sister. Suddenly I remember my sister's birthday is on yesterday and I didn't buy anything for her yet. I saw the cake look very nice and decide bought a "small" cake. I choose is a Chocolate cake top with cheese. (My sister though that is whip cream) When I told her that is cheese, she look so surprise and so exciting to eat. Of course, she cannot finish it all because the whole cake is so rich in chocolate.. nice!!!!
